Ima sound completely out of my mind, but. Eat like your theriotype. And I'm not talking eat what you're theriotype eats, I mean do that too, but like look up videos on your theriotype eating food. Try to copy any particular mouth movements they make or noises they make while eating.
It ends up helping you connect and also being hella funny.
