The sun was going down slowly, casting a dimming, orange glow over Paris. Marinette and Adrien sat atop a hill, looking down over the city. Marinette smiled. "...Adrien?" She asked, looking over at the boy in question beside her. He looked at her, his smile growing bigger. "Yes, Marinette?" Adrien asked. "...We're best friends, right?" Marinette asked, her expression saddening. "Of course! We always will be!" Adrien replied, chuckling. "You promise?" Marinette asked. "Yes." Adrien replied simply. "Thank you..." Marinette said, smiling again now. Adrien pulled her in for a hug. "Don't worry, Mari..." Adrien said, holding her close.
"I'll always be here for you."
