₊ ⊹ "darling?" a serene voice echoed out, its peaceful melody ringing out through the empty house. the voice was so comforting, full of gentleness and love.
the adoration held in the voice of the speaker seemed to be caressing every corner of the abode.
the lady that uttered the word took careful, unhurried steps forward, examining every single speck around her.
"darling? i'm home, where are you?" she spoke, yet again, the affection that clung to her voice still present, yet it held a tinge of confusion. "baby? where are you?" the words that were said out loud vibrated against the dull walls.
the figure didn't stop moving along, making her way up the creaky stairs, the noise adding an eery atmosphere to the dark area of the house.
the surrounding area was incredibly dim, making it hard for the older woman to use her vision properly, but nonetheless, she still trudged forward.
all the entrances that decorated the hallway were closed shut, except one, it was open just enough for anyone to take a peak in.
there were sounds coming from the said room, noise of something wet and heavy filling up the creepy silence that seemed to envelop the air whole.
