"Do you think that she'll make it?" It was nothing much more than a whisper but I could identify that it was a male's voice.
"She has to. She has to be strong enough to make it through anything, she's got an alpha to run the pack with."
Hmm, that voice. It was addicting, like I could sit there for ages just listening to it. I tried opening my eyes to identify the owner of such a lovely voice, but it felt as though there was a weight holding them shut. I tried to move and it felt like I wasn't even in control of my own body, like something else was forcing me to be completely still.
"Honey, wake up." I could pick out that voice from anywhere. I tried to open my eyes but this time, they actually did as I wished.
There stood my father.
"Dad?" My voice was a mere whisper.
"Yeah, honey you gotta get up for school."
"Where's Cameron? What happened?"
"Cameron? Who's that? Honey I think you were just having a dream." Dad said smiling widely at my confused expression. "Nothing has happened that included a Cameron. Remember we just got back from visiting your cousins?"
No I didn't remember that. I remembered my father dying, I remembered Cameron.
