Louis's POV:

Waking up in the morning was more peaceful than it has been in a long time.

My alarm wasn't ringing in my ears, nor was my anxiety spiking through my chest like it normally is.

Eventually, I pull myself out of bed, knowing I am going to have to just face the music and talk to Ed and Li about yesterday.

When I open my bedroom door to head downstairs I gasp slightly when I see Harry dressed in the same clothes as yesterday, wide awake sitting against the wall now.

He stayed here the whole night? He sat in front of my door the whole night.

I don't know why that gave me butterflies.

"Morning precious," he says tiredly, purposefully not moving, not wanting to scare me.

"Good morning," I say shyly, smiling down at him a bit.

"You stayed out here all night?" I ask.

He looks at me with a nod,

"Of course I did. Why would I go?" He says as if there was no other option.

I shrugged a bit before just kinda standing awkwardly. I don't understand how I am supposed to act around Harry.

It's still my Harry, but I have to be different now. I can't just let everything go back to normal.

But I do find myself sitting down on the floor across from Harry, leaving plenty of space in between us as things just stay silent.

It's not an awkward silence or exactly a comforting one.

"Can I hold you?" He blurts out after nearly five minutes.

"W-what?" I ask, not so sure I heard him right.

I lift my eyes up to meet his but force them back down after a moment.

"Hold you." He repeats, still not moving an inch.

Hold me? I don't understand,

"I don't know Harry..." I start but he just cuts me off before I can say more.

"Just for a few minutes. I just need to feel you, at least get my arms around you." He tries to bargain.

My face scrunches a bit.

"Why?" I ask slowly, genuinely confused.

"Because I just need to. Need to feel that you are really here." He says, his voice full of nothing but honesty.

I hesitate before answering.

"Okay," I whisper in a nearly silent tone.

Harry's eyes widen.

"Okay?" He questions as if he didn't believe the words that came out of my mouth.

I nod simply.

He then scrambles over to me, stopping only when he gets close enough to grab me if he reaches his arms out.

Not a single part of my body is telling me to move away, In fact, all of me is screaming to grab onto him and not let him leave me ever again.

Harry's movements are beyond slow as if he is afraid he is going to scare me as he reaches his arms out.

I let him ever so slowly wrap his arms around my waist as he grips gently and lifts me up as if I am a feather in his arms.

He settles me down in his lap, keeping our stance innocent. No straddling or inappropriate touching. Just a hold of love, ease, and relief.
