IN THE LOCKER room, the air was thick with jubilation as the UConn Huskies celebrated their hard-earned victory. The sound of laughter and cheers echoed off the walls, blending with the rhythmic thud of a basketball being bounced in celebration. Players hugged, danced, and shared moments of disbelief over their improbable triumph in the Big East Tournament. Confetti lay scattered like a multicolored carpet, a testament to the joyous chaos.

Nailea sat on one of the benches, her eyes sparkling with unshed tears of pride. She watched her teammates douse each other with water bottles, their smiles as wide as the championship trophy they now held. Despite her inability to play in the finals, the warmth of inclusion from her teammates was enough, a comforting embrace that transcended the physical game.

Nika Mühl weaved through the crowd of celebrating players, her hand high-fiving every outstretched palm, a grin permanently etched on her face. She grabbed Nailea's shoulders from behind

"Get up Nai the doctors said you can't run around they never said anything about celebrating" Nika told the girl who giggled and rose to her feet. They all started jumping around people climbing on each others backs the whole team messing around

Their media manager walked in a smile on her face as she saw the group of girls celebrating

"Good to see you guys celebrating but could I borrow  Nika, Paige and Nailea for the post press conference please"

Nailea looked at Paige in confusion

Why would they need her? She didn't even played.

Paige just shrugged signalling her to come.

The atmosphere in the media room was electric, charged with the euphoria of an unlikely victory by the UConn Huskies women's basketball team. With six players sidelined, the odds had been against them, but determination and teamwork had seen them through. Head Coach sat with a quiet smile, his gaze alternating between pride and contemplation as he waited for the interview to begin.
