Mates-Theo Raeken

   Theo Raeken smiles softly as he watches Y/N McCall walks past him in the halls of Beacon Hill High School. She doesn't know this nor does anyone else, but Y/N McCall is his mate. She's human so she can't tell he is her mate. He hasn't told her because he feared she would reject him. Rejection from your mate is absolutely the worst thing that can happen to a wolf. It's a fate worse than death. So, for now, Theo is content to just stand by and watch his mate. Well, Theo was until he showed up. You started dating some jerk bag on the football team. Theo glares angrily at the boy as he grabs your hand intertwining your fingers with his. Theo softly growls at the sight.

That should be me. he thinks as he tries to control his wolf from attacking the jerk

"Whoa what's wrong with you?" asks Liam making Theo's attention turn to him

Even though all he can think about is you and that guy.

"Nothing." lies Theo

"Dude, you reek of anger and jealousy." says Liam while looking around for anything that could make Theo feel this way when his eyes fall into a giggling you with your boyfriend

"You like her? Y/N." says Liam

"No." lies Theo

Liam gives him a look knowing Theo's lying.

"She's my mate." softly admits Theo looking down

"What?" questions Liam shocked not expecting that

"Have you told her?" asks Liam once he recovers from the shocked

Theo looks up at him an 'are you stupid?' look.

"Of course not." answers Theo

"You have to tell her." says Liam

"I can't." says Theo as he watches you walk to class with your tool of a boyfriend

"Because of him?" asks Liam nodding toward your boyfriend

"No." growls Theo at the thought of him and you together

"She'll reject me." says Theo softly

"You don't know that." says Liam knowing how bad it is for a werewolf to be rejected by their mate

"I tried to kill her brother." says Theo

"Yeah, that was pretty bad....but you aren't that guy anymore." reasons Liam

"It doesn't matter, she has a boyfriend right that she likes. It's not the right time to tell her this anyway." says Theo shaking his head walking away

Theo sighs as he stands on Scott's porch wanting to ask him a few questions about the whole joining the pack thing. He knocks on the door nervous for how this conversation will go. Instead of Scott opening the door a red eyed,sniffling you opens the door smelling like sadness.

"Scott's not here right now if you are looking for him." You say softly looking down

"What's wrong?" asks Theo concerned for his mate as he steps closer to you

"My boyfriend broke up with me." You softly confess a few tears falling as you do

   Internally Theo was happy but he knew the jerk had hurt you so at the same time he is angry. He wraps his arms around you pulling you into a hug trying to provide his mate comfort. You were shocked by the sudden contact from Theo but for reason his arms feel comforting. You cuddle up to Theo's chest making Theo smile that you enjoy his embrace. You guys pull apart and Theo gives you a soft smile as he wipes your tears away. He starts to leave before he turns back to you from the side walk.

"You know that guy's an idiot for not realizing how amazing and beautiful you are? Anyone would be lucky to be with you Y/N." he says smiling before walking in his truck and driving off

When did Theo get so....sweet? You think smiling widely before heading back inside your house

You walk into school the next morning not really looking forward the school day ahead of you. You head towards class when a someone pulls you into the boy's locker room. You look to see Theo and Liam.

"Hey, guys....What's up?" You say

"You're Theo's mate." says Liam shocking you while Theo's quickly glares at Liam

You turn to Theo still shocked by this new information, and he then looks at the floor noticing your staring.

"I'm going to go now. Have fun!" says Liam before quickly exiting the room

"Is it true?" You ask softly knowing he could hear you as you take a step closer

"Yes." answers Theo

"Why didn't you tell me?" You question slightly confused

Theo lets out a small sigh as he looks up at you into your eyes.

"Because I thought you would reject me." He confess softly still a bit worried you would

"Well you thought wrong." You say now standing in front of Theo

    Before Theo can say anything, you tangle your fingers in his hair and pull him down to your face. You press your lips to his softly. Smiling Theo kisses you back as he wraps his arms around your waist pulling you closer to him. Both of you loving the feeling of each other's lips on theirs. You both pull back smiling.

"I'm happy to be your mate, Theo Raeken." You say

"And I'm happy you're my beautiful mate." says Theo smiling before kissing you again
