"Hello Mrs Marks." Skye greeted when Chase's mother answered the phone.

"Hello Skye, honey. And please just call me Maria."

"Sorry." She giggled. "Anyway I'm calling about Chase. He's seeming really...down."

"Ah I thought this might happen. He's just having and off day Skye, he didn't take his medication last night so"

"Woah woah woah. What medication?

"Didn't he tell you?"

"Tell me what?" Skye was really worried by now.

"Chase has depression."

"No he never told me. If you don't mind me asking, what medication does he take, is it a specific make or anything?"

Maria told her son's girlfriend what medication he took and queried why she asked.

"We have it here. I have to take it too sometimes."

"You have depression?"

"Yes but mine isn't as full extent as Chase's. Don't worry he'll be fine. Is he alright to stay here for the night? I know it's Christmas but I'm just worried about him."

"Skye, of course he can. He has clothes at yours doesn't he?"

"Yes he does. And don't worry, I'll make sure he takes the pills."

"Thank you Skye. I'll see you tomorrow."

"No problem Maria."

Just before she hung up the phone, Skye heard Maria speak up again.
"Skye. I'm glad he has you. Yes he always had Marshall but when he met you and you became friends, he just seemed so much happier. Happier like before everything happened. Thanks for being there for him."

Skye sniffed, determined to not cry.
"Thanks Maria. That means a lot. I'll see you tomorrow." She ended the call and headed down to the kitchen where Chase told her that he should be going.

"Nope you're staying here." Skye stood on her tiptoes and gave him a peck on the lips. She walked to the medicine cupboard and pulled out the anti-depressants. She handed them to him.

"She told you?" He sighed. Skye also handed him a glass of water.

"And why didn't you?" She asked gently.

"Because I was scared." He admitted, knocking back the tablet.

"Of what?" Skye held his hand, rubbing her thumb across the back.

"You leaving me because of it."

"Chase I would never leave you. And, do you wander why I have the medication here."

He looked up. "There's no way you have depression."

Skye nodded. "Anorexia leaves its mental effects. It's just not as full on as yours. I have more good days than bad. Come on, let's not talking about this now and go watch a movie." She smiled, standing up.

The pair looked over at Cheif who had squeezed himself into Star's bed and had the small blonde pup snuggled into him. They shook their head and Skye took a photo.

The couple got undressed and lay on Skye's bed watching multiple Christmas movies on Netflix. Skye turned to Chase who was staring into space. She sat on his legs so that they were facing each other.

"What's wrong?" She demanded.

"You're sure you won't leave me?"

"Chase of course I won't. I can't believe you're even asking me that. If I wouldn't then I wouldn't be wearing this." She said gently, showing him her hand that sported a rose gold promise ring, her Christmas present from Chase.

Before he could question her, Skye leaned in and kissed Chase who held his arms around her. They turned their heads and let their tongues mingle before pulling away, breathless after five minutes.

"Promise me you'll try not to ever think that again. Okay?" She pleaded, stroking his cheek.

"I'll try."

"I love you."

"I love you too." The pair smiled and cuddled up under the sheets again, slowly falling asleep.
