Leafy's POV

I decided to give the projector to Firey early, just because. Even though his light was off, I had a feeling he was still awake.
I wrapped it up in orange wrapping paper, and walked next door.
I took a deep breath, and knocked.
The door opened, and Firey's mom smiled at me.
"Here to see your boyfriend?" She asked, laughing.
"H-he's not my boyfriend!"
"Not yet he isn't, come on in. He's right upstairs."
I quietly walked up the stairs, when I started to hear...crying?
I knocked on his door, without announcing it was me.
"C-come in.." he sniffled from the other side.
I opened it, and he laid on his bed, facing away from me.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do, he...he can't do that..right?"
"Do what?"
He flinched hard, and realized it was me.
"L-Leafy! I...I didn't notice that was you.."
I put the box down on the ground, and shut the door.
As the darkness settled in again, I walked towards him, and sat on the bed.
"Leafy..I'm so sorry I yelled at you..I.."
I said nothing, and hugged him tight, laying next to him.
"Shh..just let it out..no need to apologize."
His breathing quickened, and the sobbing started again. But it was even worse. He was holding back until now.
"That's it..just let it all out..it'll all be ok.."
He sobbed, at some points unable to catch his breath.
What..what did Coiny do? Did he have something to do with it?
After what seemed like forever, his crying finally slowed, and he was becoming gentle again. I wiped his tears away, and smiled faintly.
"Leafy..?"
"Yes? What's wrong?"
"Why did you come here?" He sniffled, and his grip on me loosened a bit.
"Because I care about you Firey. And I..I wanted to give you something."
I pulled away from him, turning on his light.
"Y-you got me something? What is it?"
"Here. Open it! I got it just for you!"
He stared at the box, and sat up, giving a big smile.
"It's..been forever since someone who actually cares about me has given me a gift.."
He slowly unwrapped it, and gave a heartfelt smile.
"How did you know I..I've been wanting one of these?"
"Well..I figured it would help you with your fear of the dark. I'll plug it in."
He gave me the box, and I opened it, pulling the projector out, and I plugged it in.
"It's..not turning on.." he said, looking sad.
"It's remote operated! I have it here. Let me just turn the light off, and we'll turn this on!"
I flipped the switch, and made my way back to his bed, and hit the button.
Suddenly, the once dark room was filled with numerous colors, and stars.
"Woah...this is amazing.." Firey said. I seen the glimmer in his eyes, and a smile formed.
He hugged me again, and..though Coiny's hug was somewhat nice..
Nothing compared to Firey.
"Thank you Leafy. Seriously. This thing is amazing!"
Both of us laid down together, watching the ceiling.
"This..this is nice." Firey whispered, he finally calmed down completely.
"Do you really like it?"
"Of course I do..I love it.."

Firey's POV

I had my arm around leafy, we were close to cuddling.
Coiny couldn't take her from me. No matter how hard he'll try..she belongs to me.
I fell hard for this..'nobody'..as people referred to her as.
To me..she was..my everything. My..angel.
She moved closer to me, wrapping herself around me.
I looked down at her, she had her eyes closed. She was tired.
Probably from cooking and everything.
I sighed, and looked back up at the ceiling.
"Leafy? Did I..did I ruin dinner?"
She perked up. "Of course you didn't. What happened wasn't your fault."
"But..it kinda was though. I just..mess everything up.." I felt myself tearing up again.
Leafy noticed, and quickly sat up, getting on top of me. She held my arms down, and leaned close to my face.
"Firey. Listen to me. You didn't do anything wrong. Ok? Whatever happened..it's in the past now."
"L-leafy.." my face flushed red, but you couldn't tell.
"No. I care about you. I don't want you to think for a second that you did something wrong, or that you messed things up. You didn't. Ok?"
"Leafy..you're kinda-"
"Firey. Listen to me. You're fine. Ok?"
"O-ok.."
"Good. Now..what is it you wanna tell me that's so important?"
"You're kinda...sitting on my..uh.."
"Your...O-oh.."
She immediately jumped off, and put her hands on her face.
"Oh gosh..I'm so sorry...I-I didn't mean to, I swear!"
I laughed, and Pulled her back down with me.
"It's ok..you know..it's getting a little late. Did you wanna stay here? Or..?"
A sudden flash of lightning shone through the window, and the power shut off.
"Actually, I think you should stay here. It's too dangerous out there."
She sighed, and nodded.
"You're afraid.. Aren't you?" She asked, snuggling close to me. She was shivering a bit.
"Of thunder and lightning? No."
"Not that. I mean about the fact it's dark again."
"Oh..a bit. But you're here..so I'm more content then usual."
The door opened, and my mom flashed a flashlight on us.
"W-we're just laying down mom. Really."
She sighed, and laughed slightly.
"It's under the bed."
She tossed a flashlight onto the bed, and closed the door.
"What's under the bed?" Leafy asked, I could tell she was looking at me.
"Nothing."
"Come on, tell me! What is it?"
"I'm not telling you."
"Ok, then I'll look for myself!" She grabbed the flashlight, and shone it under the bed.
"O-oh..that.."
"Yea..that's why I didn't want you to look."
"Why's the size so b-"
I pulled her back up and snatched the flashlight.
"Ok that's enough snooping for you. Come here. You're freezing."
Laughing, she once again wrapped herself around me, and I hugged her back.
"Hey leafy, I was wondering..If you wanted to spend fall break with me and my mom. I know it's still a while away..but.."
"Id love to! It sounds fun!"
