"F-Firey...are..are you ok..?"
He was unresponsive..
"Is..is this some kind of joke? It's not funny! Wake up!"
Nothing.
"Oh...gosh...w-what do I do..."
I paced around the cold house, when it struck me.
There was only one thing to do. One thing I could do.
I anxiously ran over and picked Firey up, rushing down the stairs. He wasn't that heavy, hence why it was so easy. (I know they're human, but a-)
His breathing was really slow, he barely had a pulse. I needed to get him to warmth as quickly as possible.
"It's gonna be ok baby...please..don't die on me...not like this.."
With the freezing rain, and the winds..it didn't help. At all.
I carried him inside my house, turning on the heater immediately.
I got a fire started in the fireplace, laying him near it.
"W-wait here love...I need to grab the blanket.."
I ran up the stairs in a panic, grabbing the blanket.
I started crying again. I didn't want to lose him.
"Firey...please..stay alive for me..." I said aloud.
I ran down, skipping a lot of steps, and was about to wrap him up with the heated blanket when I realized.
His clothes are wet.
I'll electrocute him if I don't get these off..
I took his sweater off, his shirt was thankfully dry, so I didn't need to take that off.
Now...the pants on the other hand...were wet too..
I took a deep breath, and took them off, trying not to really look at him.
I quickly covered him with the blanket, and ran to wash his clothes.
As I came back, I hugged him, hopefully my body heat would help him..
I laid there, waiting for a reaction.

"Gh...huh...? Where...where am I?" He was finally awake..
"You're awake...oh thank the stars...you're awake..."
I was too exhausted to jump up and be excited.
"Leafy? What am I doing here?"
"...you were out cold...in your house.."
"I was? Symptoms?
"Yea...you are unconscious...barely breathing..low pulse.."
"Oh..well thanks for..saving me.."
"It's the least I could-"
"Wait...You..went in my house? Why?"
"Uhm..well...I wanted to apologize...for getting angry at you..I should've just let you fully explain yourself.."
I was holding on tightly to him. I couldn't bring myself to let go.
"And...leafy? Where is my jacket? And my-"
"They were wet from the rain. And I had to wrap you up in the blanket. They're in the dryer right now. I went ahead and washed them for you."
He looked at the blanket, then at me.
"How long have I been out?"
"Couple hours..I was starting to expect the worst..I...I thought I was too late.."
I buried my face in his chest, sobbing hard.
"Leafy..don't..don't cry..."
"I could've..lost you though! Just because of one stupid fight! I do love you! I do! I was stupid! I.."
He wrapped his arms around me, the warmth of his body comforted me.
"Oh leafy...don't cry..you had every right to be upset..I should've told you where I was going, instead I kept it hidden from you. I hurt you. You didn't do anything wrong."
He lifted my face up to his, giving me a gentle smile.
"I see you still have the locket on."
"I...I just put it back on a bit ago before I went to go see you..."
He blushed lightly.
"You really do care.."
He leaned in, before stopping.
"Wait...do..do you.."
I put my arms around his neck, pulling him in.
I do.

Firey's POV

It felt like it was new.
Like it was..our first time again.
She..she was so gentle..
The way she was nervous..
We pulled apart, and she got up quickly, rubbing her arm.
"G-gosh..s-sorry for that..I..I should go get your clothes for you. S-stay there.."
She rushed up the stairs, and I couldn't help but smile.
As she came back down, she handed me my sweater and pants, both of which were really warm.
She turned away, and I laughed.
"Why are you looking away? You didn't have a problem undressing me earlier." I said, putting them on.
"S-shush. I had to do it. You would've froze in those wet clothes."
I quietly stood up, and snuck behind her.
"Ok. You can turn."
As she did, I picked her up, holding her up with my arms.
She let out a quiet gasp, surprised.
"Firey? Does this mean..we can stay together?"
"Why would we break up over one fight? We cleared it up, and there's no other reason for us to not..unless you don't want to date me anymore."
"W-why wouldn't I want to date you anymore?"
"Well..." I put her down, and we walked over to the couch.
She snuggled close to me, seemingly tired, and let out a sigh of relief.
"Well? What did you wanna say?"
"I..I just..didn't think you'd wanna date me after I..basically lied to you. I was so rude about it too.."
"Oh Firey..don't worry about it..I forgive you! We're building trust here."
"Well..yea! But.."
"But?"
"But I..I didn't trust you leafy..you trust me for the most part, but I didn't..even though you've done so much for me, including saving my life..I still didn't trust you.."
She had her gaze fixed at the wall, she was thinking.
"Do you trust me now?"
"Trust..you now? Of course I do.."
She looked at me, raising a brow.
"Are you sure you do?"
I sighed, shaking my head.
"I..it's coming along..but I..I just can't fully trust you with everything yet."
"Well..that's something we're gonna work on together. One step at a time. Ok?"
"Yea...ok..we'll do it.."
She got up, sitting on my lap. (Yea this again)
"Leafy? What are you doing?" My face felt really warm.
"Calm down..I need to feel your cheeks."
"But leafy.."
"Yes I know I'm sitting there. It'll only be for a second."
"W-well..that's not exactly what the issue is.."
"Then what's the...HOW DO YOU GET H-"
"LEAFY SHUSH!!" I pulled her down on my chest, trying to muffle her.
She giggled, trying to fight me.
"Fineeee!!! I'll stop! But seriously. I need to feel your cheeks."
I let her go, and she placed her hands on my face, smiling.
"Warm..I did my job right."
"And that's why I love you leafy, you know how to take care of me correctly."
"Ohh..Firey.."

Out of all this...

All I could really say was

We were back baby.

Don't beat me up, I know I said I wasn't updating today. I lied. It's 2am, thankfully I don't have to get up until 12pm, so it's time to sleep in.
Firey didn't die. Cool.
