I gave the original book a read and I started crying in pain it was so bad.

Leafy desperately looked everywhere for the locket..She couldn't stop crying.

"Leafy...please honey..come here.."

She sniffled. "B-but..I need to find the locket..."

She dropped to the ground, sobbing. The way she cried..it was different. It wasn't the same as when she cried when we fought..it was..painful tears. I got off the couch, getting on my knees.

"Leafy?"

"I WANT HER BACK FIREY!!"

"Her..?"

"THAT LOCKET MADE ME FEEL CLOSER TO NOT ONLY YOU, BUT HER!"

"Baby..who's her?"

"m-my mom..."

"Oh..."

I grabbed her, and pulled her close to me.

"We'll find it Leafy.."

"Promise?"

I knew it was probably a lost cause because of the snow but...

"I promise my love. We'll go looking tomorrow."

"But..it's going to snow again tonight..."

Fuck. She's right.

"Ok. Slip your boots on. Let's go."

I shivered as we walked through the snow.

It was already 8pm..and the snowfall was aggressive.

We carried flashlights as we looked, it was no where in sight.

"Leafy..."

"Firey. We'll find it..we need to.."

"But leafy..." I couldn't feel my hands.

"FIREY PLEASE."

She started to run up ahead, and I couldn't walk..

"Leafy..wait..come back.."

She was too far up. I collapsed into the snow.
I tried to stay conscious, easier said than done.

Puffball's POV

Pencil left hours ago.
I would've been home too..but I couldn't stop thinking.

All my life..I've just been given everything I've always wanted. From prizes, to love..I could have it all. I grew obsessive. I no longer wished to have these things given to me whenever.
I demanded them.

I loved Firey. He was the one I wanted.

But of course..I messed that up too. I missed him from time to time, but I've come to accept he's happy with leafy. He loves her. She loves him.

I looked down at the locket.

"I should go return this now. I've been here long enough."

I stood up, walking away from the fire pit.

"I should turn my flashlight on..it's dark."

I pulled my phone out, turning it on.

I seen a shadow with another light running in the distance. They seemed distressed. I would go and ask..but it's night. Anything can happen.

I continued my walking route.

My route consisted of me passing up Firey and Leafy's house before reaching my pick up spot. So, I'll be able to return it then!
