"Right George, you have your quiz with Natalie starting soon," Y/N said bursting in through the door of his driver's room only to quickly cast her eyes downwards as a blush blossomed across her face, she had stumbled in while George was midway through changing into a fresh team shirt. The humid weather in Sochi was not best suited for George, he had complained that his room was far too warm despite having a fan circulating cool are throughout. Seeing her gaze focused on the ground, a slight smirk appeared on his face. They'd been together for three months and still she would be quite shy around him – he attributed it to his incredibly physique and his dashingly handsome good looks, but when he had voiced his opinion to Y/N she had simply told him to 'wise up'.

"I know, I know. I'm talking to the boys now." Y/N eyes went wide and as discretely as she could, she crept over to the laptop and found that Lando, Charles and Alex were already on the screen and they were only waiting on Natalie to appear.

"Y/N!" Lando shouted gleefully scaring Y/N slightly; she thought that from where she was stood that they wouldn't be able to see her, but apparently she was wrong. "Hi boys," She waved slightly coming more into view. She had only talked to the boys a few times, mainly in the media square as due to COVID restrictions that was really the only place where they could see each other at the paddock.

Y/N had been a member of the communications team at Williams for three years, though her first year was only as a graduate scheme after University before she was offered a full time position for the 2019 season and now she was George's press officer, he was her sole responsibility and that was quite a difficult task. He was very hyper – especially before a race, and sometimes Y/N just couldn't understand where all this energy came from. In this interview quiz he was no different and he was especially giddy as he was able to do it with his best mates.

"Right, a question for Charles, Alex and Lando about George. What is his most recent emoji?" Natalie asked with a smile, in the paddock the relationship between George and Y/N was obvious. How could it not be with he glances they gave each other. She often found it funny and adorable when she would catch them leaving the Williams Motorhome and quickly letting go of each other's hands and try to put a small bit of distance between them as if they hadn't just be kissing and cuddling in his driver's room.

"Has to be the heart emoji," Alex teased with a knowing smile prompting Charles and Lando to nod and laugh in agreement all while George displaced a face of mock outrage, but that quickly gave way to a wide smile.

"I'm a hopeless romantic, what can I say?"

"For Y/N?" Alex revealed, his eyes went wide and he quickly slapped a hand over his mouth as he realised what he'd just said. George stared at him, unmoving and not uttering a word. George looked away from the screen and eyed Y/N in the corner, she was working diligently on an iPad, no doubt trying to figure out his schedule for the weekend, he was wearing headphones so she'd not been able to hear anything that Alex had just disclosed. He discreetly sent a text message to her for her to come over, which she did. "Y/N!" Alex cheered, "Missed lover boy?" the trio of boys and Natalie laughed.

"Y/N, tell them I don't have a girlfriend!" George complained, he had tried to sound serious, but the wide smile present on his face gave away exactly how he was feeling.

"I don't know, do you?" Y/N winked teasingly and began to walk away, but George had over ideas and snatched onto her wrist, pulling her back. The momentum of his pull caused Y/N to fall into his embrace onto his lap, she let out an 'oof' as she collided with him. "Now, now Y/N ..." He smirked before briefly kissing her, the boys and Natalie let out an 'ooooh' as he did so. It was only a quick kiss before Y/N pushed herself out of his arms and moved back to her original position in the corner of the room.

"Now as lovely as that was, do you want us to cut that part out of the final version?" Natalie asked. She was crossing her fingers that he'd allow it to be kept in, it would be a brilliant exclusive for Sky and would draw in a large amount of viewers. Thankfully it seemed that George was listening to her prayers as he waved his hand, "Nah, keep it in. It was going to come out one way or another."
