Author's POV

She questioned everything; her mind was in a frenzy. So maybe her mind didn't want to remember the small details that she cherished so very much. Maybe this was a beginning, wherever the start line was.

God. She sighs internally; I can't remember the last thing I ate.

What does the rain sound like?

I can't even remember the last time I smelt fresh air.

She sighs once more, aloud this time.

"You okay?" Cheryl smiles, her attention always on the teen resting in bed.

"How long do I have to be here for?" Madison replies with a pout, followed by yet another sigh. "It's been a week."

"You heard the doctor—"

"He needs to face it!" She snaps, "I'm not getting my memory back. I'm sick of these four walls damn it." Her breathing is heavy, if it were possible, steam would be shooting out of her ears in this very moment.

"Babe—"

"Call the doctor." She stubbornly says, interrupting her Mum. "Now."

Kimberley rolls her eyes, doing as the teen has requested.
